Music is everything to me ..
Ever since I was 13, I wanted to be in a guitar-band. For the next 6 years, I drove my mom wild while I "hacked" at my Woolworths super-cheapo Kay guitar.
At 19, I entered my first recording studio (as a solo artist, calling myself BITE .. why? .. I dunno) and with a couple of friends, put down some songs and released them as THE BITE E.P.
The next step was to form a "proper" band. We carried on with the 'Bite' name for awhile, before we settled on GUNLAW. That band lasted quite awhile .. almost got signed to JUNGLE RECORDS,before we splintered-off and formed BIG POP GUITAR NOISE.
As these things do, we split and I helped out a band with some more mates who were called THE CRISPS (there's some crackin' video to be found on their page here).
Next up, I formed the truly abysmal BAND WITH NO NAME, which died shortly after (thank the Lord)!
Next up, from the ashes of THE CRISPS and that band, came the very wonderful THE DAVINCIS! Of course, we split up and TRASK was born .. that band fuc*ed me up good and proper and made me give up music for 7 years. You've heard of the complicated love-triangles that befell FLEETWOOD MAC? .. that's nothing compared to the mess that TRASK left behind. Goodbye to all that.
Lol Parry came to my rescue way down the line and he got me interested in music again. Thankyou, Lol! After that, I got the KEBABYLON Studio set-up up and running and recorded my first solo album, quickly joining up with Trevor Eynon (Ex-TRASK .. I should've known) to form the first incarnation of OTHERSIDE. The rest is tragedy. A cryin', effin' shame.
