In 1993, I had the chance to revisit the original Gunlaw tape reels and re-audition the contents. I was able to create clearer mixes, but still wasn't able to Master them at that time .. that had to wait until 2008. On the 1st player, you'll hear 1993 mixes (with 2008 mastering) of: CONQUERED, 2000 YEARS, HEARTS & FLOWERS, THE KILLING FIELDS, PROMISES and SENTINELS. I was also able to create instrumental versions of a track we did called: UNITED STATE (which we never used, despite it being 100% completed) PROMISES, and another track which we canned: SHOWDOWN. These tracks appear on the 2nd player on this page and are followed by the full band versions (with vocals) of SHOWDOWN and UNITED STATE. With hindsight, I find it hard to believe that we didn't use these tracks as part of an album. We had enough material to do it. If we'd wrote one more new song and gone into the studio and cut: BREAK, THE ELITE and WASTED YEARS, we'd have had a 12 track album on our hands. But it wasn't to be. The songs on the 3rd player on this page comes from 1 of the 2 gigs we played at the OAK HOTEL (with Les on bass). After the FULHAM GREYHOUND gig, we lost Stuart (our misguided replacement for Les) and Dave, Rog and myself abandoned GUNLAW and started up a band called BIG POP GUITAR NOISE.
