Welcome to the DAVINCIS! I'll say it now (loud and proud): I totally adored that band! After the debacle with THE BAND WITH NO NAME, it was good to get back to a 4 piece band which delivered energetic High Octane Pop/Rock. Andie (our terrific lead singer) was only 15 when she joined Stu, Deak and me. I'm also very happy that such a lot of media's survived from this period. We have a terrific gig at the OSBC, our one and only 4 track demo, 2 complete videos of our gigs at the LION HOTEL on the 13th and 27th July, a soundboard from a gig at the FRIDGE (long since closed nightclub), a "live-to-tape" rehearsal (done by a friend of Andies' in a youth club near where she lived), stereo VHS rehearsal tapes and a fair few pics from back then. I've also got very fond memories of Deak, Andie and myself sitting on top of the Wrekin (huge freakin' mountainous landmark in Shropshire) writing SITTING ON A HILL in the middle of Winter at some ungodly hour with the wind and the rain lashing down on us.
The video that's playing right now, is us playing at the Lord Hill hotel on Saturday the 13th of July 1991! I remember it being a really great, hot, sweaty gig. All of us (and the crowd) had a great time and I think it shows.
